Hey now, All us rednecks ain't bad..

I saw this earlier. It brings a warm rush of real pride for my countrymen to see them changing policies of my country that were shameful.

You know, I can just see those old racists in that courthouse, seething mad and stuck in line. Chickens come home to roost.

It's great seeing this happen in Texas. The time's they are a'changing.

Now if we can only save the country from being destroyed by the idiots in our Govt before we can fix it...

a Redneck Liberal! I really want to put that on a bumper sticker on my car, but then I figure I will be getting my car destroyed by clueless assholes on both sides...

I'm one of those old school rednecks, who actually has a real redneck from being bent over a shovel working my ass off outside. Rednecks was a derogatory term coined by the same guys who loved the word Nigger- Rich white assholes who owned us all, one way or the other, back in the day.

but all that said, I got plenty of redneck racist white trash, right in my own family...

You and me both. But yeah, I was a young lad growing up in a black/mexican/white/redneck neighborhood, where everyone pulled together, new each other. Where there was no lack of respect because of race. We were all poor and proud. Then I moved away. Got slapped by reality, and it made me onry...

yeah same with me, we were the only white "gang" in the hood of East Lubbock.

What that means is that we were the only seven white boys for about a 20 block radius. Gave me a healthy respect for people who didnt look like me. Also made us really, really fucking mean. I am proud to say I can walk into any place in Lubbock, country club, black illegal speakeasy on the outskirts of town, Mexican hood party and I am just fine. Well, sometimes. You got to prove yourself in any setting, most of the time, one way or the other. It's all good. Respect is something thats earned after all...
