Happy Veterans Day

While the reality base celebrates and the neocons fade into oblivion, we still have men and women in harms way. No doubt they feel left out of the highs and lows of the mid-term. Their getting shot at. Priorities.

Unfortunately, our far away and much too personal conscious driven ecstasy, or hell, still is childish in nature compared to the reality they face. I'm crying now because I'm right, and just realized it.

You, who are still in harms way, will get a lot of fake praise from all sorts, but many others, on the left and right, bare true hearts.

Stay alert stay alive my friends...

Agreed. These poor kids are used as pawns and fodder for a rich mans war. They deserve better. Better than the Geoff and Gordon's of the world who can crow like the chickenhawks that they are but the only action they have ever seens was from behind the glass of a shooting club.

Happy Veteran's Day.

Uhm, just food for thought, isn't Iran and perhaps the DPRK increasingly looking like what we thought Iraq looked like? What steps do you guys think we should take toward them, if UN Sanctions, inspectors, etc. fail or those nations don't cooperate?

If Iran and North K truly had nuclear capabilities and the ability to deliver them, don't you think the US and its allies would have done something by now?
And neither look anything like Iraq. When people wake up and realize Iraq was/is about nothing but oil, then you will see how different the politics are.
Lil Kim is nothing more than a bluffer and Aberjabaababababdeen is so transparent you can see all the way to his bank account. As long as there is instability in those regions, oil prices get to stay high and billions of dollars are made every 3 months. Agaun, EVERYTHING revoles around oil because it is the largest money maker in the world every year. As long as te governments can invest tax payer money in whatever it takes to get that oil, they will. The return on investment is enormous.

I agree we would have done something, but I'm saying they are increasingly looking like what we thought Iraq looked liked. That is, North Korea did have a nuke, albeit a dud, still nuclear. Iran is trying to get one. If Iran gets one not only would that be a threat to our "vital national interest of oil," but to Israel and us.

Well the solution in Iran and N.Korea will defiantly not start with a preemptive strike. War should always be the final option. Diplomacy worked in the cold war, it may not work in Iran and N.Korea's case but we should not be so arrogant as to not even try.

The reality is, people need to give diplomacy time. The cold war is a great exanple, elmo. 40 years and eventually the economy was the Soviets downfall.

Iraq was working well. Had we :stayed the course" instead of going to war with them again, the country would have corrected itself. It will happen in NK and Iran.
