Willie Pete

If you have a weak stomach stop. Go somewhere else. Elmo has no problem showing reality as it is, pure, and most defiantly disgusting. White Phosphorus. That is what's falling on this poor soul. Our government used it in Falluja. This is what he looked like soon after...

Chemical

weapons

kill

everything

they

touch.

Everything.

Numerous wars in the Old Testament were justified by God. Then again you folks don't believe in God?

That little incident of White Phosphorus was no comparison to Halabja.

Um. You don't know me, don't assume. So...why do you think that I don't believe in God? (You are wrong, by the way.)

We might have some common ground. You just never know. Try finding it first before picking a fight.

It's not just this war. It's nearly every war liberals oppose. Take my English Professor for example, she says that there are no justified American Wars.

Did you know that Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan want to retreat from Afghanistan too? Do you stand with them? Or where does your liberalism end?

I have some friends serving as officers in the Army right now. Don't you dare assume a thing about what I believe.

Just because I don't believe their lives are worth sacrificing for the war in Iraq doesn't mean you know anything about me.

If you feel so strongly about the war, why are you blogging about it? Why aren't you in Iraq?

remember: if yer blogging, chances are yer not in iraq. so go.

It is absurd to believe the notion that many support the troops but not their mission. How can you support the troops when you constantly criticize them for a variety of ridiculous reasons? White Phosphorus being a recent example.

It's like saying to your wife, "Sweetheart I support you, but everything you do upsets me." Their will never be a war in which liberals will rally behind. They don't understand that perpetual peace is a futile dream.

Your circular logic is fruitless. The premise of your question is that if I support the troops why am I not in Iraq? I could ask you the very same question. If you support the troops, why aren't you there? It's because you don't support them. Now do you understand how your argument has faults? You don't support their mission, and so you wouldn't go...yet you support them, but I thought that you believe those who support the military belong in Iraq? Partial Support? Lol.

By the way I support you, but not your posts.

I've been to Iraq already. And being a chickenhawk is like having your house on fire and running out to protect yourself, leaving your family inside. It's the fire departments job to save them, right?

Blogger Smartypants said...

You'd be surprised how easy it is to have your friends' backs and not support the morons who issue the orders to them.

Whose decision was it to use the WP? The grunts? No. I went to a very pro-military college and I know a few things about the chain of command.

So go ahead and buy another yellow ribbon car magnet and slap it on the back of your car. The troops benefit so much from that. Or is it the convenience store owners?

Wed Nov 23, 12:04:00 PM CST
Blogger fatrobot said...

troops follow orders, one can be in support of your borthers and sisters in the army becuase no one wants them killed
but you can also be against the orders they are given and the mission they are on
only a fool cannot see the difference there

killing innocent people and destroying families is the worst thing one can do

unfortunatley the USA is run by war profiteers who get rich building the bullets that find their way into an enemy or a child
get rich rebuilding the mess and misery that they cause

if the USA wants to fight some bad guys, go to the congo, uganda, or sudan

PS. not every 'liberal' cares what michael moore has to say

I've been getting the run-around, Sucks trying to get in the Army after enrollment in DEP.

Anyway, I support the war and the troops, and do not belive we targeted civilians on purpose.
I don't think it matters whether we use bullets, VX, or voodoo, so long as it kills the enemy.

Nice beard Stan. I hope you have a shaving profile, because your blogger profile says you are in the Army. Real soldiers don't like wannabes. And the JAG officers will just love you. One more thing Stan, when you are in the DEP you ARE in the Army. I think you are waiting for the war in Iraq to be over before you join the Army.

And Cabe, I love the rebel flag. Couldn't you find a flag with a swastika on it? Why do I think you were singing a different song in 1999 during the Kosovo War?

Why do I have a feeling these guys would be really good friends of Tim McVeigh. You know the soldier who washed out of SF school and blew up the Murrah Building? Now there was a real patriot.

Empathy, Elmo, empathy. What the wingnuts and chickenhawks lack is empathy. These faux macho dillweeds think all the murder and mayhem being done in their name is okay, because they believe they'll never ever suffer the same fate. It's easy to talk tough and be a hardliner when the flesh being burned alive is halfway across the globe. I seriously doubt you'll see these panty-wastes in a recruiter's line any day soon.

And before one of you weedbenders trots out the "why aren't you.." defense, I don't fight unless I'm attacked. Iraq didn't attack me, so I had no reason to fight against Iraq. Besides, if you're square with what's going on over there, and you think it's a moral crusade, then put your own cowardly ass where your meaningless tough talk is. I don't accept any method of 'supporting the troops' that involves leaving them in an unjust, immoral situation getting their asses blown off. Especially not so lily-livered, spoiled nutjobs like yourselves can sit over here and cheer on the deaths of innocents.
(And before you resurrect that tired wingnut horseshit about "Halabja," where were you when the Reaganites were shaking Saddam's hand for gassing those people?)

One more thing: I like the Klan member up there who taunted phantom libruls for being atheists, then referred to the OLD TESTAMENT to justify his heros' ordering the murder of innocent people. Hey, Stan! Ever heard of someone named JESUS CHRIST? You know, the PRINCE OF PEACE?!

Elmo, why do we bother?

A lot of unwarranted personal attacks, so much for some decent debate. I know I am in the ARmy, hence my DEP status. I just wanted to go sooner rather than my original ship out date. But that is where the mess begins.

I do think wars are justifiable, WWII for example, WWI, the revolutionary war, Korean conflict, Gulf War one, and the Iraq war. We didn't have the magic ability of hindsight, we saw a threat, thats why the Senate bi-partisanly approved it. You cannot get around that.

I hope I can go to Iraq, I truly want to, but it won't make a difference about my moral authority to speak for or against any war.

Stan, while you are waiting in the DEP. You might want to start running and learn to run faster. And get your running shoes from store that specializes in running shoes. The sales clerks at AAFES do not know anything about analyzing foot shape or running style. Trust me, it will save you much pain, suffering and humiliation while at basic training.
I'm glad you have the guts to go fight for what you believe in. Now about your buddy Cabe. Were you able to get him to sign up with you on the buddy system?

Cabe must be deliberately acting obtuse. [Repeats more slowly] No, you do not have to "shut up" if you refuse to serve in Iraq. But surely you see that if you are for a war, and believe in it as a noble and just cause, you have a moral obligation to enlist and serve, and that if you don't, your credibility in any debate is severely compromised?

No? Still don't get it? I'm not surprised. With such stellar cognitive abilities, it's no wonder recruiters aren't busting down your front door.

The military does need a modicum of brains behind those guns, after all...

Let me add...

If you are for America you are obligated to serve her high purpose and fight for her survival.

cabe believes the war in Iraq is that which preserves our freedom...but he is not there.

We believe our treasured nation is being bastardized and profiteered into a nightmarish consequences, and we shout it to the heavens!
