Bush Negotiates with Terrorists in Algeria

President Bush sent Senator Richard Lugar to Algeria with hopes of facilitating the release of 404 Moroccan prisoners being held by the Polisario insurgency/Algerian government. The article does not say what the give and take was but Lugar succeeded, All 404 prisoners are being sent back to Morocco. These are the same insurgents that chased Spain out of the Western Sahara in 1976 and are to this day fighting for sovereignty over the resource rich Western Sahara.

But Bush does not negotiate with terrorist, right? The hell he doesn't, but who cares. Bush brought a flicker of peace to Africa without violence and 404 prisoners are free because of it. Lets hope there is not some devious motive behind all this, like more exploitation of Africa's recourses.

It must be a full moon…I'm giving Bush kudos.
